The main highlight of playing "Kingdom" is unlocking mounts, and the mounts operate the same on all islands. The Kingdom is a video game of chance where you play to spawn on the island that follows. Each island is bigger than the last, which means you get to explore more as you move along.

The more advanced the game gets, the higher your chances of spawning more mounts. Since it's a game of chance, it's possible to spawn no mount on your next island.

Let's look at how to get mounts as you play this game.

Mounts on Island 1

The only thing you can unlock on the first island is the horse farm, which is the only mount you can work with when you start the game. The horse you unlock on the first island is the best out of the three in the entire Kingdom.

Mounts on Island 2

When you visit a new island, you unlock new features that help you move to higher levels. If you collect a map, for instance, you get to unlock something else, whether you win or lose. You can get the Deer mount if you go back to island 2. Remember, you'll need a boat to get back to an island. For the second island, the first unlock you get access to is the dog, followed by horses.

To see how far you're in a position to unlock, view the map screen on the menu. The details usually appear after you win as well.

Mounts on Island 3

Each island you explore comes with unique and random unlocks. On island 3, you get;

  • The Deer Mount
  • The Elk
  • The Hermit of Tide

Mounts On Island 4

On island 4, the first unlock gives you access to the bear. The great bear costs you 2 gems or 15 coins. To unlock the bear, you have to move to the ruins on a particular branch that has a hive.

This mount's excellent restoration rate is an excellent compensation for its little resistance. You get to work with short, but extremely fast runs and the good thing is the bear doesn't easily get tired.

Mounts on Island 5

Finally, on the fifth island, you get to access unicorns. This mount unlocks costs 4 gems or 26 coins. When using the unicorn, you can run fast on grass, so it's an easy way to accumulate money. When the unicorn is grazing, you get access to three coins.

How Unlocks Work

In all cases, you find the unlocks at random places on the island. For instance, you can find the elk mount in the forest of island 3. If you want to trade it for the mount you currently have, all you have to do is pay 3 golds. This way, you can take it with you to any island you plan to explore.

Note that when you begin a new game once you get your map, you don't unlock anything. However, if you restart, everything you unlocked may appear on the different islands. Regardless of the island you're on, you can only unlock mounts if you win or lose. That means getting the map only allows you to get on the island; you have to play to get mounts.

What if I can't Find Mounts?

Now that we've established that each island has a special set of unlocks let's talks about what you should do in the event that you can't find any mounts.

Have you been playing for the longest time but can't seem to find your mounts? Well, you're not alone. It's not that you're doing something wrong; it's just tough luck. After all, this is a game of chance, and you can reverse your actions and try again.

If you've not unlocked anything on island four, for instance, you can go back to island three and redraw the map for island four. A better map draw gives you a fair shot at getting mounts on the next island.

Note that you cannot see mounts on the different islands unless you unlocked them. Also, restarting your game will not change your spawns. Don't reset the game unless you want to go back to the first island.

Conclusion

Kingdom is a video game that requires strategy and swiftness. Once you know how to get mounts, you enjoy the thrill of it all. Make sure you're not too hard on yourself if you don't get a mount. After all, you can always go back and redraw a better map.
